At a glance
Large Power is the brand name of Dongguan Large Electronics (东莞市钜大电子), a lithium battery maker that has been designing custom packs since 2002. It doesn't sell you a battery off a shelf. It starts from your device's voltage, runtime, size, discharge profile and the certificates you'll need, then picks cells, designs the battery management system (the BMS, the board that protects and monitors the cells), builds the enclosure and takes it into production. It says it has done more than 9,000 custom projects and has 4 GWh a year of pack capacity.
The niche is tough environments and regulated products. There are low-temperature packs for cold-climate equipment, high-temperature and explosion-proof (Ex ia/ib) packs for petrochemical and mining gear, and quasi-solid-state cells. The application pages read like a hospital equipment list: infusion pumps, defibrillators, ventilators, patient monitors, portable ultrasound, oxygen concentrators and powered wheelchairs. Robotics is the other big area, with packs for AGVs, sorting robots and collaborative robots. The homepage names CNPC, China Railway Group, ZTE and Mindray as strategic partners.
Testing is a big part of the pitch. The in-house test center covers overcharge, short-circuit, shock and vibration, climate and altitude simulation, IP and immersion tests, and ISTA drop tests for packaging. In July 2026 it gained CNAS accreditation (China's national lab accreditation, number L26157). Cell-level research runs through the company's Large Research Institute of Lithium-Ion Battery Engineering, working with university teams.
The process is laid out in five steps: requirement review, engineering design, sample validation, certification support (UN38.3 for shipping, IEC, UL, CE and so on) and mass production. Plan for 6–12 weeks to get prototype packs; there's a rush service for urgent projects. Small prototype and pilot quantities are fine, and factory visits can be arranged.
Large Power suits device makers, especially in medical, robotics and industrial equipment, who need a pack engineered for their product and certified for their market, and who have time in the schedule for proper pack development.
