Huayuanda (HYD)华源达

Huayuanda, or HYD, builds stamping dies and stamps metal parts out of Shajing in Shenzhen's Bao'an district. Stamping is how sheet steel becomes brackets, beams and panels: a press pushes the sheet through a die, often a progressive die that does several cuts and bends in a row. HYD's specialty is the big, tough end of that world: dies and parts for car chassis, door frames, seats, sunroofs and crash beams.

The company opened in Shajing in 1999 and moved fully into automotive dies in 2004. The supplier approvals show the climb: Honda in 2010, Toyota in 2011, Volkswagen in South America and Europe in 2015, Geely in 2016, a Mitsubishi audit in 2017, and audits by Mercedes-Benz, Ford and BYD in 2018. Today it reports 3,000-plus projects and 500-plus customers, with production bases in Shenzhen (23,500 m²), Hefei (67,800 m²), two sites in Huizhou and a Dongguan shop for die parts and assembly.

The die side is the heart of it. A team of 40-plus die designers works in full 3D with NX and forming simulation, backed by 21 CNC machines, 27 wire-cut machines and 16 grinders. Dies go through a pulse-line assembly HYD says it pioneered, then tryout on presses up to 2,500 tons, with a tryout team led by a Japanese tool expert. Beyond tools, HYD stamps, welds and coats parts (e-coat, PVC, polyurea, powder), and its Huizhou Huidong base stamps appliance and office-equipment parts; BBQ grill, projector and industrial sewing-machine parts are on its product list. Newer work includes EV battery bottom guard plates, upper covers and cover plates.

HYD runs projects with an ERP system and puts DFM, short for design for manufacturing, up front to cut stamping cost. Contact is by email or phone in English or Chinese, and the company shows its tooling at Blechexpo, the sheet-metal trade fair in Germany.

HYD fits teams with large steel stampings: vehicle and EV programs, battery enclosures, appliance structures, anything that needs a serious progressive or transfer die and volume production. It's a tooling-and-production house, not a prototype shop.
