About View Well
Source ↗View Well makes custom metal parts out of Shenzhen, with stamping, CNC machining and sheet metal as the main trades. Its office sits in Bantian, in the Longgang district, and the trading company is registered in Hong Kong. It's a good fit if you have a drawing full of mixed parts, like a stamped bracket, a turned pin and a bent cover, and want one supplier to make all of them.
The founding story is specific. In 2003, mechanical engineer Chris Chang, now CEO, made bespoke mechanical parts for Raymarine, the marine navigation company, when others couldn't. Word spread, recommendations followed, and View Well International grew out of it. Today the company says it has over 1,000 employees and 80 engineers across separate CNC milling, CNC turning, stamping, power-meter component and medical-equipment plants, and reported turnover of $62 million in 2016.
On stamping, they do progressive dies (one strip of metal moves through several stations, each adding a cut or bend), deep drawing for cup and can shapes, and multi-slide stamping, where tools strike from several sides to form small, intricate parts. Custom tooling design and fabrication is part of the service. Welding, tapping, coating, assembly, labelling and even storage and fulfilment can be added. The CNC side mills and turns stainless, aluminium and titanium, including turn-mill compound work, and finishes run from sandblasting and polishing to anodizing and PVD. The wider solutions list adds extrusion, die casting, forging, sintering, gear machining and gearbox assembly. Inspection includes CMM, a 2.5D automatic measuring system, optical measuring and roundness testing.
Each project gets a technical sales manager and a lead project engineer from launch to delivery. Orders run from one part to 100,000-plus. Prototypes take 3-9 days and rapid injection molding 2-5 weeks. They'll sign an NDA, ship EXW by default (FOB, FCA or DAP on request), and send most orders by air.
View Well suits engineers and buyers who want a single Shenzhen partner for a mixed bill of metal parts: stamped, machined and fabricated pieces for automotive, electronics, telecom, medical and industrial products, from first samples to production.
