WEILAI is a molded pulp specialist in Dongguan. That's the pressed-paper material many hardware brands now use instead of plastic foam to cradle a device inside its box. The company began in 2003 as Welike Mould Factory, a maker of molds for pulp trays. In 2015 the shop was folded into a new company, Dongguan Welike Mould Machinery, and in 2022 it rebranded as WEILAI Environmental Packaging. It lists capacity of 500+ tons of pulp products a month and more than 2,000 customers served.

The mold-making roots are the interesting part. WEILAI designs the insert in 3D from your product, or from your product's 3D files, then cuts the molds on its own CNC machines, more than 100 sets a month. Samples are pulled from those molds for you to approve before production. Both wet-press (smoother, finer surface) and dry-press (thicker, coarser) trays are available, in sugarcane bagasse, bamboo, recycled corrugated or office paper. Their electronics catalogue includes trays for Bluetooth earphones, power banks, chargers, an electronic pen, remote controls, an electric toothbrush and an electronic scale. WEILAI suits a hardware team replacing EVA or EPE foam with a paper-based insert, especially at production volumes where a dedicated mold pays off. They don't publish MOQs, mold costs or lead times, so ask for those up front. Their range is pulp trays and pulp boxes, so a printed retail box comes from a separate printer.
