Zhibang Packaging

Zhibang Packaging is a paper packaging factory in Shenzhen's Guangming district. It started in 1998 as a small local box maker and now runs a 17,000 m² plant with 120+ machines and more than 250 staff. The range covers luxury rigid boxes, drawer and magnetic boxes, folding cartons, mailers, paper tubes and displays. It sells to brands in North America, Europe and Asia.

The founders are Aaron Lee (CTO) and Alanna Peng (CMO). Early on they bought imported machines from Germany, the US and Japan instead of competing on price alone. Between 2009 and 2018 they grew the workshop to its current size, built a team of about 200 production workers and 20 engineers, and started exhibiting at Interpack in Düsseldorf and PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.

Beauty, jewelry, apparel and cannabis packaging make up much of the catalogue, but there's a real electronics section too. It shows a lid-and-base box for a photography drone, magnetic boxes for smart bracelets and LED lighting kits, a smartwatch box, a two-piece box for a Bluetooth headset, and rigid boxes with EVA foam holders. The kit includes Heidelberg Speedmaster XL presses, Japanese automatic die-cutters, V-groove and rigid box lines, and Epson digital presses that can turn out a color sample in a day.

Guideline MOQs are 500 pcs for rigid, drawer and magnetic boxes and 1,000 for folding cartons and paper bags, and they say they'll talk about lower numbers for startups and pilot runs. Production takes 10-20 days after approval. Samples come white or printed, usually 10-20 pieces, and on qualifying orders the sample cost is waived or credited back once you go to production. They list ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSC and amfori BSCI (a social-compliance audit), plus ISO 8317 for child-resistant packs, and can supply FSC, FDA and REACH paperwork.

Zhibang suits a hardware brand that wants a premium rigid or magnetic box with a fitted tray for a launch run starting around 500 units. Its main specialties are beauty, jewelry, apparel, food and cannabis packaging, so electronics is one line among many rather than the focus.
