Siking is a silicone keypad and seal factory in Dalang, Longhua, with an unusual backstory: China Aerospace Industry Corporation set it up in Shenzhen in 1990. More than thirty years on, it still makes control keypads, seals, protective parts and housings, and still supplies press-seal standard parts to aerospace, aviation and shipbuilding companies.
Its customer list is the headline. Siking says it has supplied the main components for Panasonic's in-car remotes and home air-conditioner remotes for 20 years, and became an "excellent supplier" to Panasonic. It also supplies electronic control parts to Samsung, became a first-tier supplier to Foxconn, makes large plastic structural parts for Sharp appliances, and builds conductive control parts for Neusoft Medical's CT scanners. The home page adds Siemens to the list.
The whole chain is under one roof: mold design, colour matching, rubber compounding, molding, silkscreen printing, spray painting, laser etching, epoxy dome coating, die-cutting, assembly and final inspection. They can compound to a customer's own material spec. Silicone handles -65 to 280 °C, insulates well and resists ozone, oil and alcohol. Siking's parts go into electronics, appliance parts, smart wearables, medical products and car components. The products include P+R keypads, where hard plastic keycaps sit on a silicone rubber base.
Quality paperwork goes back a long way: ISO 9002 from DNV in 1996 and ISO 14001 in 2005. The ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates shown on the site, though, expired in November 2019, so ask for current ones. They've held national high-tech enterprise status for nine years and hold nearly 40 patents.
Siking suits a hardware company heading into volume production of a remote, appliance control panel, medical device or wearable that needs custom silicone keys or seals from a factory with long appliance-industry experience. The website and contact form are Chinese only, so plan on a Mandarin speaker or a sourcing partner.
