About HLC Metal Parts
Source ↗HLC is a stamping and metal-parts company in Fenggang, Dongguan. It designs its own progressive dies, stamps and bends parts, machines them on 5-axis CNC, and builds electrical contact assemblies on automated lines. One unusual twist: it has its own stamping plant in Bulgaria and an office in Mexico, so European and American buyers can get parts made closer to home.
HLC started in 2003 making stamped parts, machined parts and silver contacts, the small precious-metal tips inside switches and relays. It picked up ISO 9001 in 2012, opened HLC Partes Metalicas de Mexico in 2013 for automotive stamping development, added IATF 16949 in 2017 and opened a Bulgaria office the same year. A sister mold company, Cowon Mold Tech, followed in 2020, then ISO 13485 in 2022. In 2023 it set up an automated workshop in Plovdiv. The company says it's qualified with ABB, TE and Sensata and counts more than 5,000 customers.
Stamping is the core. The Dongguan stamping workshop runs 26 presses from 25 to 800 tons, with beds up to 4.5 m long, doing progressive and single-hit dies, deep drawing, bending, coining and embossing in material from 0.012 in to 0.5 in (about 0.3-12.7 mm) thick, per its stamping page. It has made more than five million parts, and HLC says scrap stays below 1%. The electrical side is the specialty: silver contacts riveted or welded in the mold, spring contacts, brass terminals and bus bars, many put together on custom automated lines that rivet, weld, drive screws and test. CNC covers 5-axis milling and turning in stainless, titanium and aluminum. Quality checks use CMMs, 3D scanners and model-based inspection at each stage.
Working with them is flexible on quantity. Stamping starts at 10 pieces. Single pieces and complex one-offs take about 10 working days with free samples, runs of 100-1,000 about 16, and 1,000-plus about 25. Send 2D/3D drawings or samples and an engineer replies with pricing and DFM feedback. The site comes in English, Spanish, Bulgarian, German and Romanian.
HLC fits teams with stamped and electrical parts, like switch contacts, terminals, clips, brackets and bus bars, for energy, automotive, medical and industrial products, especially if you'd like an EU production option next to the China plant.
