About POE

Source ↗

POE is a PCB and PCBA maker in Shiyan, a Bao'an town in north-west Shenzhen, built around overseas customers. It started as a trading company, set up a Hong Kong arm in 2012 to handle international sales, and now runs its own assembly floor, with sales offices in Singapore and San Gabriel, California. The pitch is one-stop electronics manufacturing with no minimum order, from a single prototype to steady production.

The company behind it is Wanfeng Circuit (HK) Co., Ltd, alongside Shenzhen Wanfeng Technology, registered in 2011 to handle import and export. By 2017 it says it had 4,000+ customers in more than 100 countries. In 2020 it moved assembly into a 3,000 m² dust-free factory and added two more SMT lines. The US office opened in 2023, and in 2025 the team moved into a bigger office so it could host customer factory audits more easily.

Assembly is the core. There are four high-speed SMT lines with nitrogen reflow (soldering in nitrogen for cleaner joints), parts down to 01005, fine-pitch BGAs, through-hole lines, press-fit, conformal coating, IC programming, cable assemblies and box builds, plus 3D-printed enclosures for prototypes. Every board goes through SPI, AOI and X-ray on BGAs, plus flying probe or functional tests. They hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 (the medical-device quality standard), and build to IPC-A-610. A team of 35 procurement engineers handles BOM sourcing, ordering 5% extra on uncommon parts at no charge. Bare boards cover HDI, flex and rigid-flex.

They've written their startup offer out in detail: 24-hour PCB prototypes, PCBA prototypes in 3–5 days, no tooling fees for design revisions, and prototypes and production in the same factory, so nothing has to be requalified. A UK smart-ventilation company started with 5 prototype sets in 2019 and had grown to a 50,000-unit production run by 2025. A Dutch IoT client moved its PCBA to POE and cut BOM cost by 15%. They sign an NDA before they look at your files, and they reply within four business hours.

POE suits startups and small hardware companies that want a single English-speaking supplier from first prototype to tens of thousands of units, especially IoT, medical and industrial boards. If your board needs an unusual laminate or a very high layer count, ask early which parts of the job happen in-house.
