About Tuowei Precision
Source ↗Tuowei (拓维模型) is one of Shenzhen's big shoubanchang, the prototype workshops (手板厂) that turn a CAD file into a model engineers can hold, test and show investors. They work out of a 10,000 m² industrial park in Fuyong, Bao'an, with 130+ three- to five-axis CNC centres, dozens of SLA printers, vacuum-casting machines and Haitian injection presses. They've been at it since 2002.
There are more than 200 staff, including 60-plus skilled model-makers, and over 20 of the core team have been there since day one. Tuowei is a national high-tech enterprise with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (medical devices), ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (automotive), 25 patents, and a listing since 2016 on the Shenzhen Equity Exchange (code 667950), a regional share-trading platform. CCTV has run a feature on them.
Their strength is having every early-stage prototyping route under one roof: machined prototypes in metal and plastic to about ±0.01 mm, SLA 3D prints, silicone-mold vacuum casting for small batches, and rapid aluminium tooling with short injection-molded runs in roughly 3 to 14 days. Then they paint and print in-house so models look like finished products. Clients include Chinese giants such as Haier, Gree, Midea, Panasonic, Foxconn and JD.com, alongside overseas buyers. In 2016 they won a Midea tender for air-conditioner prototypes.
Their case page is basically a visitor log, and it says a lot about how buyers find Shenzhen suppliers now. A Canadian automotive-parts team found Tuowei on Google and came over to talk about brackets, connectors and custom axles. A German automotive buyer and a Xiamen robotics firm visited in early 2025. A Spanish medical-equipment company got in touch after watching one of their five-axis machining videos on TikTok. Earlier visitors included LH Labs from the US in 2015.
Tuowei fits hardware teams in automotive, medical, robotics and consumer electronics who need looks-like and works-like prototypes, small vacuum-cast batches or a bridge tool before committing to production molds, and who like a big shop that can run lots of processes in parallel. The main site is Chinese-first, so overseas buyers should expect some back-and-forth in English.
