Cicor Dongguan

Cicor Dongguan is the South China factory of the Cicor Group, a Swiss electronics manufacturer listed on the SIX exchange with about 3,200 people at 20 sites. Cicor bought the plant in April 2024 as part of its purchase of TT Electronics' IoT Solutions business, which also brought in two UK factories. Together with Cicor's Suzhou site, it's the group's footprint in China.

The plant in Dongkeng, a town in central Dongguan, has 11,000 m² of production space and about 220 staff. It does two things: PCB assembly and box build. Three SMT lines place more than 800 million components a year, down to 01005 parts, 0.3 mm-pitch BGAs and flip chips, with 3D solder-paste inspection, AOI and X-ray. On the box-build side you get device assembly up to an ISO Class 8 cleanroom, robotic conformal coating (a thin protective film over the board) and potting, gluing, laser marking, pad printing, custom packaging, and functional, environmental and burn-in testing. A manufacturing execution system tracks every build.

The certificate list is long, and all of it is from BSI: ISO 9001, IATF 16949 for automotive-grade PCBA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, and ISO 13485 for medical devices. The 13485 scope covers dental imaging systems only, and the other scopes also cover battery chargers and power supply units. The ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 45001 certificates run to November 2026, so ask for the renewed ones. Cicor pitches the site at IoT and medical customers and says it is FDA-registered for medical work.

This is a group-run EMS for established programs, not a walk-in prototype shop. You reach it through the Cicor website or the plant's phone line, and it doesn't publish minimums or lead times.
